Department of Health Outcomes Project in CAMHS

The Department of Health (DH) is undertaking a one year research project to see if the collation of outcome data from child mental health services (CAMHS) focusing on the parent and child Strength and Difficulty Questionnaire (SDQ) change scores can be used to understand service provision and support service development. The project will run from October 2009- September 2010.

The CAMHS Outcomes Research Consortium (CORC) have been commissioned by the DH to undertake this work.  Click here for the letter of invitation to take part from the Department of Health

The project involves interested services sending as a minimum data on SDQ scores for parents and children seen in their service at two points during the year. The CORC Central team will aggregate this data, produce a brief report for participating services and share a copy of this with the Department of Health.  For CORC members choosing to take part this report can also include information from the other core measures used such as CHI-ESQ, Goals, HoNOSCA or CGAS. For more information on what is involved please click here.

This project is open to existing members of CORC and to non members of CORC, please note for those taking part in the project who are not members we cannot offer full access to CORC support and facilities.

Please also note that all CORC members, whether they choose  to take part in this project or not will continue to receive a full annual report and the range of other benefits available.
