Understanding impact from data for More Good Days at School

CORC is contributing to the evaluation of More Good Days at School, a randomised controlled trial evaluating a programme that trains staff at over 50 secondary schools to understand the impact of trauma and the importance of pupil-teacher relationships. The training aims to give staff access to relational approaches for addressing challenging behaviour, as well as boost staff self-resilience.

Working with colleagues in the Evidence-Based Practice Unit, CORC staff are supporting the running of both pupil and staff surveys to understand the impact of the programme, overseeing communication with schools, and supporting the sharing of school-held student data to understand the programme's impact on attendance and exclusion rates.

The More Good Days at School trial is funded by the Youth Endowment Fund and the training is being delivered by Knowledge Change Action and Warren Larkin Associates.
