Digital tools to support the collection of outcome measures in mental health services

Colleagues in the NHS National Digital Mental Health and Mental Health Infrastructure teams have been working together to explore how to enhance the collection and use of outcomes measurement data across mental health pathways. They identified that increasing the use of digital outcome measurement products could be one way to address this challenge. By talking to stakeholders, they learnt there was a lack of awareness of digital outcome measurement products available and what they can and can’t do. Based on this the national teams decided to develop a national catalogue of digital mental health outcome measurement tools.

This catalogue aims to summarise a range of products available to allow stakeholders to easily compare the tools and decide which would best meet their needs. This catalogue has now been published on the on the FutureNHS outcomes workspace. You will require access to this FutureNHS workspace to view this page. Please contact josie.hurt@nhs.net if you require access.

It currently includes the following products:

  • Outcomes Star Online
  • Patient Knows Best
  • POD
  • SDQPlus
  • MedQ
  • Checkware
  • MyHealthE

If you have any suggested improvements or other products which should be included, please get in contact with josie.hurt@nhs.net
