Starting a new CORC membership year
CORC members
For some CORC members, the beginning of April is the start of a new membership year which is the perfect time to think about how and when to access the benefits available to best support organisational needs and priorities.
Whilst some organisations may already have a clear idea of how they intend to utilise their CORC membership over the coming months, others may be thinking about how to build on the work they’ve done with CORC and which benefits would support their next steps.
Arranging a call or meeting with their Regional Improvement Officers – Rachael and Lee – is a great place to start as they will work with the organisation to match membership benefits with the requirements and expectations of the member. They will also draw on their experience and insights into what other organisations in a similar situation have done.

Over the last twelve months, Rachael and Lee have seen many members accessing the Best Practice Framework. For some organisations, this has involved receiving support to complete a self-review and to identify and implement actions and behaviours that improve the delivery and value of routine outcome monitoring.
For others, the service improvement support they’ve received from CORC has been provided through tailored training, whilst some have chosen to work with us to review their theory of change or around choosing the most appropriate measurement tools for their needs and those they work with.
Rachael and Lee have also worked with some members to deliver the staff attitudes and practice survey to help them understand how equipped and confident colleagues feel to use measures and then use this feedback to inform next steps and appropriate actions.
Data analysis and reporting continues to be a much used and greatly appreciated benefit for many member organisations although it has looked very different from member to member, from working with some member organisations to prepare their outcomes data for submission to CORC for analysis and reporting, to working with others to support them analyse their data using reliable change.
We’ve also seen many member organisations represented at our online training webinars. This programme, also available to non-members, covers a range of outcome measure related topics with sessions suitable for colleagues across settings and with differing levels of experience.
Becoming a CORC member
The new membership year is not just a good opportunity for current members to plan ahead, it’s also a great time for new organisations and settings to join CORC.
Further information about membership options is available on our website, along with details about how to arrange to call with Rachael or Lee to discuss and explore how the benefits and value of CORC membership can be tailored to each member.
