Designing a logic model, identifying appropriate outcome measurement tools and evaluating Plan UK's Young Health Programme

CORC were commissioned by Plan UK to evaluate their Young Health Programme (YHP-UK).

YHP-UK, funded by AstraZeneca, supported young people aged 10 to 24 to realise their right to good mental health and wellbeing. YHP-UK worked with six delivery partners in Greater Manchester and Cambridgeshire to co-design and deliver an offer based on the NHS Five Ways to Mental Wellbeing from 2022-2025. Each programme across the six partners differed in terms of delivery and the demographics of the cohort served.

The aim of the evaluation was to understand the impact of the programme and the characteristics of young people that were involved. CORC worked with YHP-UK to design a logic model and select appropriate outcome measurement tools. For the evaluation, CORC analysed data from self-reported questionnaires and interviewed both young people and staff in partner organisations to provide qualitative feedback.
