Independent evaluation of West Ham United Foundation mentoring programme

We are delighted to share that CORC have been commissioned by West Ham United Foundation to conduct a mixed methods process and impact evaluation of their new mentoring programme.

West Ham United Foundation is piloting a new mentoring programme for young people aged 11-18, at risk of or affected by violence in North East London. Young People are referred via their GP and then supported for around six months with regular mentoring sessions by a trained youth worker. The programme aims to provide support to young people, and signpost them to other opportunities, pathways and support.

The two-year evaluation will run from March 2024 to March 2026.

The aims are to explore participant and mentor experiences of the programme and young people’s changes in wellbeing. The results of the evaluation will help to inform the development of the programme, with a focus on implementation and scalability. Watch this space...
