Bromley Y
Bromley Y provide the highest quality, non-discriminatory service for young people and their families. They are commissioned by NHS South East London Integrated Care Board, Bromley Council and NHS England to provide emotional wellbeing and mental health services across Bromley as well as support into schools via the Mental Health Support Teams.
Bromley Y is a national beacon site for the Children and Young People’s Improving Access to Psychological Therapies programme (CYP IAPT) - a service transformation programme delivered by NHS England that aims to improve existing Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) working in the community. This programme does not create standalone services but works to embed the above principles into existing services. The programme began in 2011 since which time Bromley Y as an organisation has successfully embedded the principles and practice in all its service delivery.
As an accredited Children and Young People’s Increasing Access to Psychological Therapies (CYP-IAPT) service, they use evidence-based interventions to work collaboratively with children and young people.
They deliver an early intervention service that promotes prevention and resilience, delivers evidence-based interventions that are accountable and transparent to children, young people, parents and carers. Working together with individuals to ensure that they can access help at the right time and in the right place. Developing the service to involve young people’s voices and actions at every level constantly reminds us who our customers are.
