Childhood Bereavement Network (CBN)
The Childhood Bereavement Network (CBN) is a hub for those working with bereaved children, young people and their families across the UK.
They underpin their members’ work with essential support and representation: bringing them together across localities, disciplines and sectors to improve bereavement care for children.
Collectively, they share a vision that all children and young people in the UK, together with their caregivers, can easily access a choice of high quality local and national information, guidance and support to enable them to manage the impact of death on their lives.
CBN have a particular interest in strengthening the evaluation of child bereavement services. They've worked together as a sector to develop common core tools and approaches to help services understand how children and young people are doing when they come to a service, what changes for them, and how they experience support. Crucially, they support their members to reflect and act on their evaluation findings to build the best service offer for their children and young people.
